The options menu contains the same things except for different notifications options. The topics are very varied and you can also browse through a selection of worldwide chat rooms or rooms that are closer to your home in terms of language and topics. There's no membership required for they are public. Public Chat is a new feature that lets you search for and join created group chats. Taking the whole screen it also lets you see your own mug along with your interlocutor's. The new video call is a communication option between Viber users. Besides the classic text messaging, free calls and out-calls, Viber has introduced two new features recently. Viber has been redesigned for the desktop environment and it looks clean and modern with the usual gray & mov color scheme. Besides what you get in the mobile version, having Viber on the desktop means that you can use it on a bigger screen. Viber for Windows has the same functions as Viber for the Android system, yet it fits a bigger frame. Switching your attention between the monitor and the phone screen can strain the eyes and hurt the neck. What good is a mobile messaging app if it doesn't also have a desktop incarnation? Not very good, especially for people who spend a lot of time in front of a computer screen.
